Predictions & Thoughts
There are six main and one add-on Book of the Month (BOTM) selections for July, including two debuts and three books by repeat authors. Of these books, BOTM released the add-on prior to the main selection drop (but after ordering for June ended).
This month, I predicted all of the main selections as well as the one add-on. Essentially, none of this month’s picks were a surprise. What was a surprise was there only being one add-on and the lack of diversity in the selections. Other than one romance and one thriller novel, the rest of July’s books are either contemporary or literary fiction. It will be interesting to see if additional books are added over the course of the month.

Let’s talk about what books were not among the picks. There were a lot of books I found interesting were not picks. But who is to say they will not show up later this month. I will have to re-evaluate at the month’s end.
My Choices
I decided to hold off on ordering any books from BOTM until later in the month. None of the main selections are begging for me to read them pronto. I have no interest in reading Finding Grace or The View from Lake Como. There are a few main selections that I am curious about, but I am going to wait and see if any other add-ons drop. Otherwise, I will wait to see other trusted reviewers’ thoughts on the books I am mildly interested in.
