Allurial is a subscription box in which members choose up to 3 special edition hardcover romantasy books each month. The books are limited, and once they sell out, they are not restocked.
From the two initial months of Allurial, it looks like books published in the latter half of the prior month may be carried as the next month’s selections. Because I only have two past months to draw on, I am unsure whether September’s books will be from the second half of August or from September’s releases. For now, I have only included books that are September releases, but I exclude books that will be published on September 30 as I assume those will be among the October selections. In addition, I made the assumption that all Allurial books will be adult and not YA.
I am interested if they include more books that are part of a continuing series and any books from independent publishers going forward. For the time being, I have not included any books from indie publishers (e.g., The Imrati Trials by Lizzy Gayle) in my predictions nor books that are not the first in a series (e.g, The Dragon Wake with Thunder by K.X. Song or Among the Burning Flowers by Samantha Shannon).
Predictions
I debated whether to include Wild Reverence by Rebecca Ross, but I decided to include it although I hope BOTM will keep that for its subscribers since it already carried the other books in the series. Again, with a new subscription service, I am doing a lot of guesswork.
